Educator and Author Relates to Consortium’s Work

The following note was sent to us by Alice K. Ladas, Ed.D., after she received our newsletter. It is reprinted with her permission.

As a body psychotherapist and co-author of the NY Times best seller, “The G Spot and Other Discoveries About Human Sexuality”, my life’s work has been involved with sexuality education. I taught the first Lamaze Course in the USA, and I did my doctoral dissertation with 1100 members of the La Leche League on the relationship of information and support to outcome of breast feeding. It was published in four peer-reviewed journals, and I like to think I contributed to the resurgence of breast feeding in the USA. My husband’s and my study, “Women and Bioenergetic Analysis”, led to a paper, “Freud Through Hite all Partly Right”, which led to meeting Beverly Whipple and John D. Perry, my co-authors on “The G Spot and Other Recent Discoveries in Human Sexuality.”

Although others consider me old at close to 90, my desire for cuddling and sexual communication is as great as ever. When no sexual partner is available, which is much of the time, I self pleasure rather regularly.
