Laugh and Learn about LGBT Aging on March 16

Experience fun, education, and advocacy related to LGBT aging in the United States, 3:30-7 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, in the Widener University Webb Room.

Continuing Educations Credits available for AASECT and Social Work.

This high-energy, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender aging event features a nationally renowned comedian and an eldercare crisis manager. Headliner Julia Scotti will share high-octane humor about aging and her life as a 70-year-old woman of transgender experience. Ms. Scotti has performed nationally for decades and was an “America’s Got Talent” quarter finalist. Opening for Ms. Scotti is eldercare crisis manager Tom Callahan, whose presentation, “Even Fabulous Ages” addresses issues facing older adults who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. He combines sobering facts and rays of hope to create a humorous and educational experience.
