Jean Levitan, PhD

Jean Levitan, PhD works  with those interested in examining sexuality in mid and older adulthood from a personal and/or professional perspective. Her approach to sexuality education is to address the real, the practical, and the possible, with a regard for the value of humor and caring. Jean is a professor in the Department of Public Health at William Paterson University of New Jersey.  She has taught undergraduate courses focused on sexuality and health for over 35 years, co-authored the textbook Healthy Sexuality, conducted training sessions for both educators and healthcare providers, and has held a number of positions of leadership for The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality.
