Bill Taverner, MA, is the director of The Center for Family Life Education at Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey and is the editor of the American Journal of Sexuality Education. He has co-authored many sex education teaching resources, including Older, Wiser, Sexually Smarter; Sex Ed 101, and numerous editions of Taking Sides: Clashing Views in Human Sexuality. Bill has received national awards recognizing his leadership in sexuality education, including the AASECT Founder’s Award, given by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, and the Golden Apple Award, given by the Association for Planned Parenthood Leaders in Education.
