Joan Garrity has devoted her professional life to nurturing the ability of providers – from recovering addicts doing street outreach to counselors, social workers, nurses, physicians and medical students – to be more confident and effective in communication with their clients about sexuality. For over 35 years, Joan has provided trainings focused on enhancing understanding, sensitivity and skills in addressing the issues of sexuality with clients, young and old.
